The past few years Mukwonago High School has organized various trips to other countries to give students a first hand account of the world in which they live. MHS students have traveled and lived with families in Germany, Spain, Mexico, England and sent exchange students to China, Russia and Italy. For this new school year teachers are currently organizing two international travel opportunities. One to Italy and Greece with a group of Social Studies teachers and the newest opportunity traveling to the Dominican Republic with English teacher Sarah Dianich.
The Italy and Greece trip was advertised last year and has a collection of students already organized and committed to go. However this Wednesday after the open house event at the High School, Mrs. Dianich will be holding an informational meeting in her classroom regarding an opportunity for MHS students to travel to the Dominican Republic June 14-22nd and help Dominican youth through community Service. This opportunity will give students an international experience but also help in obtaining the global service project requirement for the certificate. If interested please be sure to attend the meeting Wed. night in room 249. The meeting is expected to run from 8:30pm to 9:00pm.
