Students had a quick 45 minute in school field trip today as they gathered in the library for a skype call. We skyped with Virendra Khanna, a camera man who has worked with National Geographic, Discovery, BBC and more. With our limited time Virendra gave us a quick introduction on how he became involved in photography and filming and then students were able to ask questions. We took the entire 45 minutes and students would have loved the opportunity to continue talking if they did not need to return to other classes.

Virendra did a great job answering questions that ranged from career related questions, types of formatting for his work, targeting certain audiences (American audience preferences versus European preference, etc) as well as cultural experiences travelling around India and surrounding countries.

We got connected with Virendra because MHS teacher Mr. Lambrecht was part of an episode with National Geographic and Virendra was his camera man. They have stayed connected over the years and Mr. Lambrecht helped get our students connected for this awesome opportunity.
