Chinua Achebe may be Nigeria's most well known authors. His book Things Fall Apart is often required reading in many global literature and African literature courses. Things Fall Apart is the story of a fictitious village in Nigeria around the time of european colonialism. Things Fall Apart is a popular book depicting the impact of colonialism and Christian missionaries in Nigeria many readers seem unaware that the book is only part one of what is referred to as the "African Trilogy." The trilogy continues to show the struggle between local culture and colonial influences into the mid 20th century just before Nigeria's independence.
Mukwonago High School library recently purchased the other two books in the trilogy, Arrow of God and No Longer at Ease. If Global Certificate readers would like to continue to see the viewpoints of Nigerian author Chinua Achebe through these novels they may now pick them up in the MHS library.
